You Have Been on my Side Since the Military
All my life you have been on my side since the military.
You have taught me about the fascinating parts of the military.
Dad, you are the best at explaining Dunkirk to me.
You told blitzkrieg was made by the Nazi military.
Ever since I was 4 you loved the fact that I was very interested.
You know I have always wanted to be in the military.
My life has been predicted from the start to the future.
I have been training by doing workouts and wearing uniforms from the military.
I want to go into the military because of our country.
Dad, you have been the one who pushes my mental and physical strength for the military.
I have always wanted to see how you thought of war.
You would always tell me to live your life but you would love me to go to the military.
From WWI to WWII you have taught me the strategies of the Allies and Axis.
You have heard my dream about me in WWll on Hacksaw Ridge as the allied military.
I have loved that you have pushed down the tradition of the army.
Everyone doesn't like that I want to be in the military.
Thanks to you I have pushed myself to the absolute limit.
I love you dad for thinking that I will make it to the military.
You have loved me since my name was named Alex.
Dad thank you for helping me reach my goal of getting into the military.
Thank to be Thanked
On Sundays, my cousins got up at 4:00
They put on there winter closes to get out the door
Every morning for two months
Cutting down wood in the freezing temperature
They go out and plowed lawns for others
Every winter for the last 3 years, but no one ever thanked them.
They say that things just cannot grow
All that hard work all for nothing
Pushing themselves to shovel the snow
The degrees go down to 20 but it never stops them
They smash the shovel into the fresh snow
Throwing the snow into piles so it doesn't affect anyone
It takes them hours upon hours to finish
They always want to finish the drastic cold job but they cant
For people inside, they think it is easy but it is really hard
They say that things just cannot grow
Everyone should be thanked for what they
Even if you're putting out the trash
Especially if they are doing it for older people
From small to big jobs it is only for good.
You only need to be good to your community
You still should be rewarded with people knowing who you are
They say that things just cannot grow
